Time with the Sufi’s – Purpose of Existence
The Sufi’s say that every night we face death & it is then that we decide if we want to move on to the other side or continue in this world for some more time by waking up the next morning. The irony is that, once we have made that very critical decision to wake up next morning…we no longer remember it. Most individuals would go about life as if they had never been on the cross roads of life & death.
The seeker on the other hand begins to ask himself every day; “what is the purpose of my existence. O’ master, guide me towards your light, tell me how do you want me to spend this day – should I propagate your word, should I keep to myself, should sing & be merry, should I marry and have a family, should I take care of my aging parent or should I help a total stranger?… Just give me a sign, tell me what is Your will and I shall not disappoint you.”
And when the heart of the seeker is truly open & the divine, magnificent light washes all over him; the first thing he hears is a loud, soul engulfing laughter followed by a voice so sweet that one would die a thousand times just to hear it.
And the Voice says….
“The purpose of existence you ask?…All I ask is for you to BE, for I made you a Human Being…but I see, that Being Human has become the biggest challenge of all. Within each Being is my Light, that should shine so brilliantly that even the stars should crave to be You…But today that Light is lost in fear – Fear of Failure, Fear of not being able to provide for your loved ones, Fear of the Unseen & Unknown and Fear of Dying.”
“All I ask is of you, is to let go – Let go of your Fears and let that Light Shine. Let ME shine from within you…Let ME be a part of you…Let ME live through you, every waking & sleeping moment. But how many of you will happily, truly and completely submit to Me- No questions asked; enjoying the play of life it all its forms, through all its cycles, laughing & completely content?”
“I made You from ME, I gave you My Light, then why is it you cannot see ME? Wake up Little One & look deep within. Its time to ‘Rise & Shine’, to show the world that, ‘You have finally arrived’ and when you do that, your ‘Purpose of Existence’ would have come full circle.”
“You can take a moment to achieve this or an entire life time – I leave the choice to you. What ever your decision, you should know that I will always stand by you – All I ask is of you, to see ME and when you have done that then You become ME – Anal Haq !"
